Unaccompanied Baggage refers to a smaller allotment of a transferee's Personal Property. An international relocation in the military will typically be comprised of two allotments: Unaccompanied Baggage and Household Goods.

Code J Unaccompanied Baggage by Military Aircraft

Military Airlift - Code J

Overseas transport is provided by the US Government through the Air Mobility Command aboard a military cargo plane. This is the predominant mode of transport for express shipments, and is known as "Code J".

Code 8 Unaccompanied Baggage by Commercial Aircraft

Commercial Airlift - Code 8

Central Van Lines provides airlift via an American- Flagged air carrier's all-cargo plane from one country to another. This mode of transport may be more predominant in certain countries, or for certain personnel pay grades. This is known as "Code 8".

Code 7 Unaccompanied Baggage by Commercial Ocean Vessel

Commercial Sealift - Code 7

Central Van Lines provides overseas transport on a container ship. This mode of transport is known as "Code 7" and is not very common.
