Loss/Damage Procedures
You have 75 days from the date of delivery to either file a claim against Central Van Lines in the Government's DPS system, or notify us of Loss or Damage. If you file a notification of Loss or Damage within 75 days, your claim-filing window on those items then becomes 9 months from the date of delivery. Notification of Loss or Damage can be completed on the DPS website, by e-mailing us at [email protected] with a detailed description of the damage or loss including reference to the inventory line item number, or by completing and sending us a Notification of Loss/Damage form.

- Notification of Loss or Damage AT Delivery - Use this form for damage or loss noticed DURING delivery. It will need to be signed by both you AND our delivery agent.
- Notification of Loss or Damage AFTER Delivery - Use this form for damage or loss noticed after delivery has been completed.
